KHS Innopack CA-1 Cardboard Erector (2006)

Overview

This KHS Innopack CA-1, built in 2006, is a carton erector that forms cartons from flat blanks and closes their bottom with hot-melt glue. Blank stacks are fed on a roller conveyor into the magazine; suction grippers pick each blank, erect it, fold the inner bottom flaps, apply glue with a Robatech hot-melt unit, close and press the outer flaps and discharge the carton onto the outfeed roller conveyor. The machine is still installed in a wine bottling and packaging line and can be inspected on site.
