KHS Innopack SP Cardboard Packer (2006)

Overview

This KHS Innopack SP, built in 2006, is a pick-and-place case packer for bottles. Empty cases run on the case conveyor into the packing zone, where they are stopped and centred; the gripper head picks the bottle formation from the four-lane infeed table and sets it into the cases. The lifting unit travels on a vertical lifting column with counterweight, and the motion is controlled by a KUKA KR C2 controller with KCP teach pendant. Four change-part trolleys with gripper heads for different bottle sizes are included. The packer is still installed in a wine bottling and packaging line and can be inspected on site.
