ABB FlexPalletizer, Strapex SWR 30 Palletizer & Winder (2007)

Overview

Robotic end-of-line palletizing system from a wine bottling plant, consisting of two ABB FlexPalletizer robot cells, an empty-pallet destacker, a Strapex SWR 30 rotating-ring stretch wrapper with its chain conveyor, and the safety fencing of the installation. The robots stack the packed cases onto pallets fed from the destacker; the loaded pallets run on the chain conveyor through the wrapper. The system is still installed in Belgium and can be viewed by appointment.

• Wrapper pallet loads: 1/4 EURO, 1/2 EURO, EURO and 1,200 x 1,000 mm, load height up to 2,400 mm
• Film: pre-stretched LLDPE, pre-stretch levels 160 %, 230 % and 260 %, ring rotation 18 rpm
• Wrapper connection: 3 x 400 V, 50 Hz; compressed air 6 bar
