Haloila Octopus 1800 SFTS TWIN Pallet Winder (2008)

Overview

This Haloila Octopus 1800 SFTS TWIN is an automatic rotary-ring stretch wrapper for palletised loads, built in 2008. It was built by Oy M. Haloila Ab and delivered under the ITW Mima Packaging Systems brand; the Octopus line is sold today under the Signode name. The machine is still installed, under power and running in production, and can be inspected in operation.

The rotating ring carries the film carriages around the stationary pallet, so the load itself is never turned. In the TWIN configuration two film carriages run on the ring, which is what carries the output: up to 100 pallets per hour with standard overlap and 21 wraps. Euro pallets and half pallets are processed. A top sheet unit is installed, functional and in daily use. The machine has no automatic reel change (RCS).
